We have only memories, old photos, documents and history books to remind us of these famous personalities who forged the area of Leadville, Colorado into one of the nations’ most amazing historic districts. But we do still have some of the physical remains of what was accomplished here. Among these monuments some have been preserved for future generations, others have been left to father time… but what we can still see is an amazing testament to those who made Leadville what it is today. The stage was set and the curtain was rising for Leadville’s silver boom that would make kings out of paupers, and change the course of American history forever…
