Leadville's Story of the 1860 California Gulch Discovery

We follow the Slater party through South Park, Colorado, and over the Mosquito Range to the Arkansas River where they began moving north towards present day Leadville, Colorado. It was Abe Lee that finally found gold in an icy stream.. a LOT of it! The location would become known as the California Gulch and would generate over $8 million dollars of the precious ore.

It was this discovery that also became the preface to the world famous rags-to-riches-and-back-to-rags story of Baby Doe Tabor… another 4-tape collection in this award winning historical video series.
